Laramide Resources Welcomes Queensland “Action Plan”

Laramide Resources Ltd. (TSX: LAM) (�Laramide� or �the Company�) is pleased to provide an update following the Queensland Government�s �action plan� announcement yesterday to re-establish uranium mining. Under these latest developments, the Queensland Government wants guidelines in place to begin assessing applications next year..
The State of Queensland will implement a regulatory framework for uranium mining which follows the Uranium Mining Implementation Committee�s report issued on March 18, 2013. This is a major step towards realizing the industry�s potential and, moreover, the potential of Laramide�s flagship Westmoreland Project, located in Northwestern Queensland, and one of the best undeveloped uranium deposits in the world.
Natural Resources and Mines Minister, Andrew Cripps, announced yesterday the Queensland Government has accepted the findings of the recommendations issued in the comprehensive report (see Laramide�s news release dated April 26, 2013) and that, with some adaptations, uranium mining could resume under existing industry regulation and radiation safety systems.
