Cassidy Gold Corp. (CDY:TSX-V) is pleased to announce results from reverse circulation (RC) drilling on its 100%-owned Kouroussa Gold Project, located in Guinea, West Africa. Infill drilling at the Sanu Filanan deposit totals 2,027 metres in 16 RC holes so far in 2008. Highlights include 22.48 g/t Au over 15.0 metres in KRC1510, 13.31 g/t Au over 5.0 metres in KRC1511, 10.06 g/t Au over 7.0 metres in KRC1512, and 10.19 g/t Au over 10.0 metres in KRC1529. True widths are approximately 70% of reported intervals.

Sanu Filanan Deposit

Drill holes targeted gaps in the Sanu Filanan block model, with 2 to 4 holes aligned along four sections across the main Sanu Filanan structure. To the northwest, KRC1512, KRC1513, and KRC1529 constitute a fence of holes with each hole intersecting the deposit at increasing depths; to 105 metres below surface (see Table 1). Eighty metres along strike to the southeast, KRC1514 intersected the zone at a depth of 73 metres. Another 200 to 300 metres further southeast, KRC1508 to KRC1511, KRC1522, KRC1530, and KRC1531 tested the west side of the Sanu Filanan structure highlighted by 22.48 g/t Au over 15.0 metres beginning at 9 metres depth in KRC1510. Three hundred metres west of the main Sanu Filanan structure, KRC1537 intersected 1.24 g/t Au over 7.0 metres.

The Sanu Filanan deposit consists of near surface, potentially open-pittable, mainly oxide resource, outlined over a strike length of 900 metres. In October 2007, Coffey Mining estimated an Indicated Resource of 187,000 ounces of gold in 1,840,000 tonnes grading 3.2 g/t Au and an additional Inferred Resource of 242,000 ounces in 3,750,000 tonnes grading 2.0 g/t Au for Sanu Filanan, as part of the overall Indicated Resource of 466,000 ounces of gold contained in 6,736,000 tonnes grading 2.2 g/t Au and an Inferred Resource of 477,000 ounces of gold contained in 8,772,000 tonnes grading 1.7 g/t Au for the Kouroussa Project. Exploration Program

The latest phase of drilling commenced in late November 2007 and recently concluded with the onset of the rainy season in West Africa. The program comprised 14,899 metres in 138 RC holes covering 7 target areas. Drilling focused on extending the Junction deposit in the Sodyanfe area, connecting it with the Bag Farm zone. Drilling also tested the nearby Siadafa and Ridge prospects to the northeast and west, respectively. Resource drilling continued on three deposits in the Koekoe area: Sanu Filanan, JJ Vein, and KD-1.

Cassidy plans to review the resource picture and scoping scale studies for the Kouroussa Project.

Sampling and Assay Procedures

RC drill samples were collected from the cyclone and split using a 1 in 8 riffle splitter down to approximately 2.5kg in size. All samples were sent to the SGS analytical laboratory in Siguiri, Guinea for further sample preparation and fire assay using a 50-gram sub sample. Along with SGS internal quality control procedures, external field duplicates, blanks and certified standards are undertaken over 5% of all sampling. Quality control/quality assurance is closely monitored by Coffey Mining personnel.
