Aurora Energy Resources Inc. ("Aurora" or "the Company") (AXU:TSX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Cole as Director of Engineering. 

Located in St. John's, Mr. Cole will be responsible for management of all aspects of Aurora's pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for the Michelin Project in Labrador, including overseeing mining, processing, infrastructure scheduling, contract management, and cost estimations for the Michelin Project. 

"Steve has had extensive experience in all stages of mine design engineering and operations, including conceptual design studies, to pre-feasibility and bankable feasibility studies," said Mr. Bruce Dumville, Aurora's President and CEO. 

Additionally, Mr. Cole has had experience in project design optimization, detailed design, construction management and operational support.

Born and educated in South Africa, Mr. Cole holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Minerals Processing and Materials Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.  He has spent the last 10 years working in Canada managing numerous mining project pre-feasibility studies and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams. 

While based in Canada, most recently Mr. Cole was a project director responsible for engineering and construction, including site infrastructure of roads, office buildings and mine workshops, of a major mining project in Kazakhstan.
