Sydney, 28 July 2015: The Board of Ark Mines Ltd (ASX:AHK) is pleased to advise that its
plans to drill its Golden Slips and Golden Honcho prospects, as
set out in AHK's
announcement dated 24 June 2015, have now been formally approved by the Department of Mines and Energy in the Northern Territory.
AHK has contracted Geo Drilling Pty Ltd ACN 106 780 486 to perform the required drilling services, which are scheduled to commence in the middle of August 2015 and be completed prior to the end of that month.
Upon completion of the recently approved Slips and Honcho drill program, AHK will have secured its first earnin interest comprising 40% of the gold assets the subject of the Mining Farmin and Joint Venture Agreement with Arafura Resources Ltd (ASX:ARU) dated 14
January 2013 - see further AHK announcements dated 15 January and 13 March 2013. AHK must then elect to either increase its interest through a further 30% earnin or acquire 100% of the relevant gold assets.
