SOURCE EXPLORATION CORP. (the “Corporation” or “Source”) (TSX-V: SOP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brian E. Robertson, P.Eng. as the Corporation’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Robertson is a Professional Engineer and holds the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Laurentian University. He has served as a President and Director for Canadian listed companies and has extensive experience in mine operations, permitting and development, and the evaluation of corporate acquisitions. His global experience includes operating and construction of both open pit and underground precious metal mines in Canada and offshore, including the Dome Mine in Timmins, the Hope Brook Mine in Newfoundland and the Placer Dome’s South Deep Mine in South Africa. Mr. Robertson served as General Manager of Placer Dome’s Equity Silver mine, a past - producing 10,000 tpd open pit silver mine located in British Columbia, Canada. Mr. Robertson will take the lead role in the evaluation and redevelopment of the Corporation’s past-producing San Acacio silver property in Zacatecas, Mexico.

“I am very pleased to take on this exciting role as President and CEO of Source,” stated Mr. Robertson. “The San Acacio property has excellent development potential, particularly at a time of strong investment interest in silver, and I look forward to advancing the development of the property as well as pursuing other acquisitions.”

The Corporation also announces the resignation of Abraham Drost from the position of President and CEO. Mr. Drost will remain a Director of the Corporation.

The Corporation also announces that it has granted a total of 500,000 stock options to Brian E. Robertson pursuant to the Corporation’s Stock Option Plan. The stock options were granted at an exercise price of $0.30 and expire September 15, 2014. The Corporation has entered into an employment agreement with Brian E. Robertson subject to regulatory approval.

The Corporation will be attending as an exhibitor at The Silver Summit at the Davenport Hotel, Spokane, Washington on September 23-25, 2009 in Booth 16.
