      Verona Development Announces Resignation of Director and
      Establishes Board Committees

Vancouver, British Columbia, January 26, 2010 -- Verona Development
Corp. (TSX.V:  VDC) announces that Alexander Korelin resigned from its
board of directors on January 25, 2010, with immediate effect.

The board has four members following his resignation:  Rod Husband,
Juraj Adamec, Daniel Pisenti, and Rudy Brauer.

Al Korelin stepped down as director after assisting the Company in
seeking out well-qualified directors with years of experience in
financing and mining.  

Rod Husband, interim President and CEO stated, "We appreciate the
service rendered by Al over the past years and his desire for the
success of the Company."

The new board has appointed an Audit Committee for the ensuing year,
consisting of Daniel Pisenti as Chair, Rudy Brauer, and Rod Husband.
The board also established a Compensation Committee, a Corporate
Governance Committee, and a Nomination Committee.

Verona Development is an emerging oil and gas company focused on
