ANTAM AUGMENTS GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE (GCG) IMPLEMENTATION WITH GCG SOCIALISATION TO SUBSIDIARIES

Jakarta, June 14, 2016 - PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM; ANTAM) is pleased to announced that the company has augmented the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles through GCG socialisation at its key subsidiaries of PT Cibaliung Sumberdaya, PT Antam Resourcindo and PT Indonesia Coal Resources. The socialisation is part of ANTAM's effort to harmonise and align the company-wide GCG practices as well as creating an understanding of the importance of GCG implementation.
ANTAM's President Director, Tedy Badrujaman said,
"The socialisation aims to create a similar understanding of GCG implementation among our subsidiaries. As well, we intend to have GCG as part of the subsidiaries' culture and becomes one of the of strengths in supporting business sustainability."
During the socialisation, ANTAM covered GCG topics such as GCG awareness, whistleblowing system and the relationship between parent company and its subsidiaries. In 2016, ANTAM also plans to conducting GCG assessment by independent auditor, participating in the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) and reviewing the Corporate Governance Policy.

ANTAM's GCG implementation initiatives frequently receive external accolades. The recognitions include, among others, Indonesia Good Corporate Governance Award 2015, Most Trusted Company 2015 Award and Best Overall Award 2015 from the Indonesia Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD). ANTAM's GCG implementation refers to the Australia Securities Exchange (ASX) Corporate Governance Principle and Recommendation, ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard, GCG Indonesia General Guidelines by KNKG, GCG Criteria and Methodology as stipulated in the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises Letter No. SK-16/ S.MBU/2012 as well as the Listed Company GCG Guideline as published by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority in 2015.
