Pencari Mining Corporation Appoints Senior Geologist and grants
options

Pencari Mining Corporation ("Pencari") is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr. Brad Ackroyd, B.Sc., P.Geo., MAIG, as our Senior
Exploration Geologist for Madagascar. Mr. Ackroyd has over 6 years of
geological experience ranging from open pit and underground mine
production, resource definition and estimation work to grass roots
exploration. He has completed exploration and resource definition
programs for gold in Western Australia, Papua New Guinea and more
recently Guinea. Mr. Ackroyd has been granted an incentive stock option
under the Company's Incentive Stock Option Plan entitling him to
purchase up to 50,000 common shares at a price of $0.41 per share.
In addition, Pencari has granted incentive stock options to certain
directors, officers, consultants and employees entitling them to
purchase up to a total of 150,000 shares at a price of $0.41 per share
for a period of 5 years.
Pencari is a gold exploration and development company publicly traded
on the TSX Venture Exchange. Pencari is focused on developing gold
properties.
