OKLO IDENTIFIES NEW LARGE URANIUM PROVINCE IN NORTH EAST MALI, WEST AFRICA
Australian explorer uses unique uranium exploration model to find widespread, elevated uranium levels and numerous targets
Highlights:
· Australian exploration company Oklo Uranium believes it has identified a major new uranium province in north east Mali, Africa;
· Elevated levels of uranium were identified in association with widespread “hot” granitic terrains and volcano-sedimentary rocks within the company’s Kidal Project;
· Numerous discrete uranium anomalies have been identified in association with widespread pegmatite granites, volcanic rocks, surficial deposits and extensive vein systems;
· Multiple styles of uranium mineralisation are confirmed applicable at Oklo's Kidal Project, including: pegmatite-hosted, volcanic-hosted, vein-hosted and surficial types;
· The uranium anomalies were identified using a combined radiometric and aeromagnetic survey that covered the total project area of 19,390 square kilometres, the initial results of the northern half of the area have
been received;
· Oklo intends to commence drill testing priority targets before the end of the year.

company Oklo Uranium Limited (ASX:OKU) believes it has identified a major new uranium province in north east Mali, West
Africa. The company has received preliminary results of the northern half of their major geophysical survey covering the company’s Kidal Project, in north-east Mali.
This latest data has,
for the first time, been combined with the southern half results and depicts widespread uranium anomalism and numerous discrete uranium targets.
On the 30 November 2007, Oklo announced the identification of a number of radiometric anomalies in the southern half of the project area. Since then, the remaining northern half of the survey has been completed as advised to the ASX on 21 January 2008.
The combined radiometric and aeromagnetic airborne survey in Mali covered approximately 19,930 square kilometres and comprised a total of 53,534 line kilometres.
The mid-survey results, which were independently compiled by Southern Geoscience (“SGC”) and previously released to the ASX (30 th November
2007), were highly encouraging and provided great impetus for the completion of the survey. SGC will conduct the same rigorous assessment of the data from the north on behalf of Oklo.
“Whilst Oklo is only a small exploration company, for its west African exploration, we have adopted a
bold “big company” approach and focussed efforts on identifying and securing a prospective
world class uranium province, rather than small scale holdings typical of many uranium explorers,”
said Oklo Managing Director Ross Brown.
“Results so far would suggest that we may well have met our objective."
" We have committed well over $AUD1 million to a single geophysical survey and have been rewarded with a
profusion of uranium anomalies at the Kidal project. We will spend this much again in developing the best targets
with ground truthing and drilling.”
