(TSX VENTURE: CBJ) ("CB Gold" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hernan Martinez, as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company. Mr. Martinez, already a Director of the Company for the past four years, brings extensive experience to the service of the board, the Company and its shareholders. Mr. Martinez a former Minister of Mines & Energy in Colombia, Director of Ecopetrol and President and CEO of Exxon Mobil Colombia, currently serves on the board of other Canadian publicly listed Companies including Pacific Rubiales Energy and Gran Colombia Gold.

Mr. Martinez will replace Mr. Peter Barnes who has resigned as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board and Director, effective June 1, 2014.
