	Tuesday, August 07, 2007 Target Closes Non-Brokered Private Placement of 3,120,000 Units and 685,500 Flow-Through Units
	TARGET EXPLORATION AND MINING CORP. (TSX.V: TEM) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the closing of a non-brokered private placement of 3,120,000 units (the "Units") and 685,500 flow-through units (the "FT Units"), at a price of $1.00 per Unit and FT Unit for aggregate gross proceeds of $3,805,500. Each Unit consists of one common share of the Company and one-half of one share purchase warrant with each whole warrant entitling the holder to purchase an additional common share of the Company for a period of one year at a price of $1.50. Each FT Unit consists of one flow-though common share of the Company and one-half of one share purchase warrant with each whole warrant entitling the holder to purchase a non-flow-through share of the Company for a period of one year at a price of $1.50. The securities are subject to a hold period expiring December 1, 2007. The proceeds of the private placement will fund the first year expenditures on the Company's Bootheel and Buck Point properties in Wyoming, additional exploration work on the Company's two British Columbia properties (the Bradshaw Gold Property and the Gunner Gold Property), a compilation and exploration program at the Company's Sinbad property, and general working capital. The proceeds from the sale of the FT Units will be used for exploration expenses that will constitute Canadian exploration expenses (as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada)) and will be renounced for the 2007 taxation year.
