SEMPRA ENERGY DECLARES COMMON DIVIDEND

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 11, 2007 - The board of directors of Sempra Energy (NYSE:SRE) today declared a quarterly dividend of 31 cents per share of common stock. The current dividend is payable Oct. 15, 2007, to shareholders of record on Sept. 27, 2007.
