Nayarit Gold encounters high grade gold and silver at Orion District

1.5 metres of 18 g/t gold, and 1,420 g/t silver, including 3.0 metres of we ighted average grades of 8.52 g/t gold, and 763.50 g/t silver

Nayarit Gold Inc. (TSXV: NYG) is pleased to announce that drill results rec eived from its Phase One - 7,000 metre exploration program in the Orion dis trict has encountered high grade gold and silver. The Company has received drill results from 24 samples on the first phase of its drill program on t he "Minas de Animas" structure. Drilling continues at "Minas de Animas" as part of the six hole, 1,940 metre drill program for this area. Further re sults are expected over the coming weeks.

"We are extremely pleased with the initial results from our first drill hol e" stated Colin Sutherland, President & CEO. "We have encountered minerali zation associated with veining over 52.5 metres in a zone dominated by a st rong central vein. The results are encouraging, and we are aggressively mo ving forward with our program."

The "Minas de Animas" structure is more than 2.0 km south east of Nayarit's Orion-Estrella working, and 2.3 km south of the Bonanza 1 workings. The m ain Minas de Animas system has been traced over a strike length of more tha n 850m on surface. Four adits have been located and sampled to date, three of which follow the main southerly dipping Minas de Animas structure for a total of more than 360m underground. The fourth adit is on a footwall str ucture. The vein systems are within a historic mining district where signi ficant mining has produced high grade gold and silver. Additionally, Vane Minerals Group is currently producing gold and silver from their Diablitos mine, located in the western portion of the Acaponeta district, of which th e Orion district is a part.

The Animas mine project area contains of a system of two sub-parallel quart z breccia veins that trend E-W to NW-SE. The project area has been densely sampled, yielding 16 gold assays of equal to or greater than 10 g/t Au. T he sampling program yielded 25 silver assays equal to or greater than 500 g/t Ag, with 9 assays equal to or greater than 1000 g/t Ag.

QA/QC Procedures: The Company has implemented a quality control program to ensure best practices in sampling and analysis of the core samples. The cor e is first logged then split in half during the sampling process with the r emaining half being retained for verification and reference purposes. Dupli cates, standards and blanks are inserted randomly into the sample stream. T he samples are delivered directly in security sealed bags to ALS-Chemex Lab oratories preparation facility in Guadalajara, Jalisco (Certification ISO 9 001). Sample pulps are shipped from there to ALS-Chemex Laboratories in Nor th Vancouver, Canada for analysis by ICP techniques. Metallic screen fire a nalyses for silver are also regularly run as an additional QA/QC check.
