Exploration begins at Pipewrench Lake, Saskatchewan

2007 program to follow up on uranium showings from last year

VANCOUVER, B.C. - Uracan Resources Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has commenced the summer work program at its 100% owned Pipewrench Lake Property in Saskatchewan, consisting of mapping, channel and grab sampling and ground geophysics, including radiometrics, on the 100 km (2) property area.

Pipewrench Lake is in the same geological belt - the Wollaston Domain - as the basement rocks of the large producing uranium mines of the Athabasca basin 120 km north however the Domain is at or near surface at Pipewrench Lake resulting in much lower exploration and development costs than in the Basin.

Like Uracan's North Shore Property in Quebec, Pipewrench Lake is hosted in a rock called pegmatite. One of the largest uranium mines in the world, Rio Tinto's open pit Rossing Mine in Namibia, is hosted in pegmatites and is the model for Uracan's exploration.

The work program will follow up initial results from the fall 2006 reconnaissance program which encountered up to 0.281% (6.19 lbs) U(3)O8 in grab samples and 0.086% (1.89 lbs) U(3)O8 over 1.7 meters in chip sampling as well as investigate additional targets on the property and generate new areas of interest for follow up.

Select historic drill intercepts from Pipewrench Lake include the following:

6.6 meters of 0.10 % U3O8 (21.8 feet of 2.3 lbs U3O8)
18.29 meters of 0.073 % U3O8 (60 feet of 1.6 lbs U3O8)
13.66 meters of 0.06 % U3O8 (44.8 feet of 1.3 lbs U3O8)
11.31 meters of 0.06 % U3O8 (37.1 feet of 1.3 lbs U3O8)
