DIOS HOTISH URANIUM PROJECT: GODZILA SHOWING RETURNS UP TO
0.66% U3O8 OVER ONE METER TRUE WIDTH
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA - DIOS EXPLORATION reports significant exploration progress on its wholly-owned Hotish uranium project, Otish Basin, QC: GODZILA showing returns up to 0.66% U3O8 over one meter true width.
A wholly new area was discovered last Fall by DIOS, with the GODZILA showing returning interesting results: 0.66% U3O8 over 1 m (uranium oxide=U3O8) at SRC and by DNC (uranium assays by Delayed Neutron Counting) at Actlabs, values such as .067%, .151%, .067%, .026%, .021%, ..255 % U3O8, each sample measuring one meter wide over the 16 meter exposed and manually trenched zone.
This Delayed Neutron Counting method has limits because it gives lower values for uranium assays in higher grade samples than the method used at SRC and so, such higher grade samples will have to be re-assayed at SRC by another method.
Channel track samples were taken over an area exposed by hand along a 16 m strike extent and one meter long samples were sawed perpendicularly to the zone with another meter taken in the surrounding rocks. The surrounding rocks one meter track samples returned .0105, .0103, .01, .009, .008, .002, .001 % U3O8.
Ms Girard, President and CEO of DIOS, mentioned: `` DIOS is very pleased with the GODZILA zone results, as they give us encouragement to pursue exploration work on the Hotish project, located in James Bay territory, ruled by the Paix des Braves agreement, a geologically high potential area with established rules to work with. Also, we are very pleased that yesterday Mr. President Obama inaugurated two nuclear plants for power generation in the State of Georgia, USA, and renewed its commitment to green power, including nuclear power which is considered a clean form of energy enabling a counterbalance to climate changes, which might otherwise be enhanced by fuel energy.
DIOS was selected to participate next April in a Green Fund Investment Event in New York.
Samples were assayed at Actlabs laboratories, Ancaster, ON, by DNC (uranium assays by Delayed Neutron Counting) and mineralized standards and blanks were implemented in sample batch for quality control. Re-assays at SRC are awaited for.
A review of all geophysical and structural data of this area is in progress and electromagnetic time domain helicopter borne geophysical testing will be carried out in the short term over the GODZILA discovery as well as on the first BUTTE zone previously discovered by DIOS by drilling, a sub-vertical uranium-bearing zone reaching at least 240 m vertically from the surface and intercepted by three holes in two sections 60 m apart along strike, with a rather true width of 3.5 m returning 0.093% U3O8 (incl. in 0.04 % U3O8 over 12.5 m), 0.056% U3O8 over 5.1 m and 0.083% U3O8 over 2.6 m. Blocks of the same biotite rich material were discovered in surface almost on top of that zone, giving up to 1 % U3O8.
