HATHOR DRILLS MORE OFF-SCALE URANIUM MINERALIZATION AT MIDWEST NORTHEAST PROPERTY

Vancouver, BC August 25, 2008 -- Terra Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: TAS) is pleased to provide an update on the Midwest NorthEast Uranium property in which Terra owns a 10% production carried interest.

In a press release dated August 25, 2008, Hathor reported Hathor Exploration Limited (HATTSX.V) announces that drill hole MWNE-08-37 has intersected a 5.3 metre core-length interval of basement-hosted uranium mineralization having off-scale radioactivity readings of greater than 9,999 counts per second (cps). These cps readings correspond to a zone of black-coloured, semi-massive to massive pitchblende mineralization comprising the longest continuous core-length interval of off-scale cps readings from Midwest NorthEast property diamond drilling to date.

Scintillometer results for selected drill core intervals from hole MWNE-08-37 are presented below. A drill hole location map and pictures of this and other selected drill core intervals will be posted on Hathor's website at www.hathor.ca .

Drill hole MWNE-08-37 is the eighth Roughrider Zone diamond drill hole completed during the summer 2008 drill program at Hathors 90%-owned Midwest NorthEast property. It was collared 30 metres northeast of drill hole MWNE-08-36 at an angle of -45o and an azimuth of 295o. This drill hole was designed to test for uranium mineralization hosted in basal sandstones at, and above, the sub-Athabasca unconformity; a zone which lies above basement-hosted uranium mineralization encountered in drill hole MWNE-08-30. Unfortunately, due to the drill hole steepening in dip to -49O degrees, and veering to the southwest, it did not intersect its intended target.

Hathors summer diamond drill program is based on Hathors Roughrider Zone exploration model that shows the primary drill target being the location where the intersecting, basement-hosted uranium-bearing structures of its Roughrider Zone discovery meet at or above the Athabasca unconformity. This target is identified by coincident gravity and resistivity lows, and as yet remains untested.
In hole MWNE-08-37, the unconformity was intersected at a core length of 299.2 metres (approximately 220 metres vertical depth). Due to a combination of bad ground conditions and mechanical problems the drill hole was lost at 337 metres in strongly altered rocks similar to those observed occurring between zones of basement-hosted uranium mineralization in other holes from the Roughrider Zone.

Drill hole MWNE-08-38 was collared from the same location as drill hole MWNE-08-37 at angle of 45o and an azimuth of 300 degrees. This drill hole shallowed during the casing of the drill hole to -42o, and, while it slowly increased its dip with depth, it only returned to its planned dip (-45o) at 253 m core length. From 252 to 305m, the hole intersected a strongly bleached, variably (moderate to strong) clay altered and intensely fractured zone of sandstone.

Hathor believes that this drill hole over-cut the unconformity by about 30 metres and the very significant structure, alteration and bleaching observed is interpreted to be the upper expression of the alteration envelope and fracture system that is associated with the Roughrider Zone basement uranium mineralization found in drill holes MWNE-08-32 and 08-34.

The unconformity was intersected at 312 m. The basement rocks are comprised of variably altered (weakening with depth) Hudsonian microgranite and pegmatite units, with lesser amounts of Wollaston Group graphitic pelitic, pelitic and psammitic gneisses. No significant increased radioactivity was detected in this drill hole and it ended in unaltered, unfractured, Archean tonalitic orthogneiss at a down-hole depth of 422 metres.

Drill hole MWNE-08-36 was collared from the same location as drill hole MWNE-08-35 at angle of 80o at an azimuth of 318 degrees. This steeply-dipping, geology drill hole was designed to study the nature of unaltered rocks outside the target area of the combined gravity and resistivity geophysical anomalies.  This drill hole encountered weak to moderately bleached and variably fractured Athabasca sandstone with local limonite and secondary hematite alteration. Pyrite and chalcopyrite are locally present at about 193m.  The unconformity was intersected at a core length of 222.45 metres, corresponding to a vertical depth of approximately 219 metres. From 222.45 to 268 metres, the drill hole intersected predominantly Hudsonian pegmatite and microgranite, however from 236 to 245 metres, graphitic peliitic gneisses of the Wollaston Group were intersected. From 268 to 367 metres (end of hole), the drill hole intersected fresh Archean granodio ritic orthogneiss. No increased radioactivity was detected in this drill hole.
Hathor measures natural gamma emission radiation from drill core in counts per second using a hand-held Exploranium GR-110G gamma ray scintillometer as a reliable guide for directing drill programs. The reader is cautioned that: 1) scintillometer readings are not directly or uniformly related to uranium grades of the rock sample measured and should be used only as a preliminary indication of the presence of radioactive materials; and, 2)  all intersections are down-hole, core interval measurements and true thicknesses are yet to be determined. For general comparisons of scintillometer cps readings as related to assay results, please review Hathors previous news releases concerning its winter drill program.

Drill core samples will be submitted for uranium, base and precious metal assay analyses by the Geoanalytical Laboratories of the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC), having facilities operating in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (CAN-P-4E) general requirements for the competence of mineral testing and calibration laboratories.

Terra Ventures owns a 10% carried interest in the Midwest NorthEast property.

With capital resources in excess of $27 million, Hathor continues to aggressively advance its portfolio of Athabasca region uranium exploration projects. This area accounts for approximately 25 per cent of the world's annual mine production of uranium. All of this production comes from unconformity-style uranium ore deposits - the highest-grade uranium ore deposits in the world.

Benjamin Ainsworth, P.Eng., a director of the company and a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical disclosure contained in this news release.
