Happy Creek Intercepts 5.0 metres of 0.33% WO3 (Tungsten Trioxide) on Fox Property

March 11, 2008 - Vancouver, British Columbia - Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: HPY) announces the final drill results from its 100%-owned, 225 square kilometre Fox tungsten molybdenum property, located 25 kilometres east of the former Boss Mountain molybdenum mine and approximately 65 kilometres northeast of 100 Mile House in the south central Cariboo region of British Columbia, Canada.

Further to the news release dated February 21, 2008, results have been received for the final two of a total of thirteen holes completed in December 2007. The new results include a potentially economic intercept of 5.0 metres grading 0.33% tungsten trioxide (W03) in hole 07F-03. Hole 07F-04, located approximately 210 metres northwest of hole 07F-03, returned anomalous values (0.02% W03) over 15.5 metres. A map of the drilling is in preparation and will be posted on the Fox Property page of the company's website shortly.

"First pass, widely spaced drilling on the Fox property has now returned a number of intercepts that are potentially economic including 5.0 metres of 0.33% WO3, 2.0 metres of 0.74% WO3, and 5.3 metres of 0.11% WO3 with 0.20% molybdenum," says Dave Blann, president of Happy Creek Minerals. "These intercepts occur over a 700 metre portion of the 1.5 kilometre zone tested to date. In addition, an underlying bulk tonnage porphyry moly system is becoming a real possibility."

Over all, drilling of the Nightcrawler-Discovery Zone has confirmed the presence of a new, large-scale tungsten-molybdenum system in British Columbia. In context with the project's proximity to hydropower,  roads and other resource-based infrastructure, results from this first phase of drilling (13 widely spaced holes) signify the presence of anomalous to potentially economic grades of tungsten occurring from surface to a minimum 300 metres depth and over a 1.5 kilometre by 500 metre area that remains open in extent. In addition, molybdenite (molybdenum sulphide) also occurs: results include 4.2 metres containing 0.25% molybdenum (Mo), including 1.7 metres grading 0.51% Mo in hole F07-10; and 0.50 metres of 0.51% Mo in hole 07F-11. These intercepts are located approximately 150 and 100 metres southeast and southwest, respectively, of trenches where similar material returned over 10.0% molybdenum in grab samples. The presence of significant values of molybdenum (as molybdenite mineral) adjacent the tungsten skarn is a positive feature of this mineralized system.

Mineralized zones are comprised of scheelite (tungsten mineral) bearing calc silicate (skarn- a replacement and addition of minerals to limestone) in layers trending easterly with a moderate to gentle southward dip. The true widths of the intercepts are currently unknown; however, intercepts are believed to be near true width. These Paleozoic aged sedimentary rocks hosting the tungsten-moly skarn are cut by dikes and sills of a multi-phase biotite-muscovite quartz monzonite intrusion that is Cretaceous in age. The age of this intrusion is significant as it is very close to the age of the intrusive rock that is associated with mineralization at the former Boss Mountain molybdenum mine, 25 kilometres to the west. Limited drilling into this intrusion intersected moderate to strong quartz-sericite/muscovite-k-feldspar altered quartz monzonite, aplite or alaskite/rhyolite with disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite, and locally abundant quartz veins containing variable concentrations of pyrite, pyrrhotite, trace chalcopyrite, molybdenite. Results from within the underlying intrusive rock include 0.85 metres grading 0.293% Mo in hole 07F-09, and 7.75 metres containing 0.120% Mo in hole 07F-13. Of exploration interest, two drill holes were analyzed for fluorine. Results from holes 07F-1 and 2 have returned anomalous values of up to 9,000 ppm (parts per million) or 0.90% fluorine, an element recognized as an essential component of the world's largest and highest grade molybdenum deposits located at the Climax or Henderson Mines in Colorado, USA. All the geological information to date suggests potential for a large molybdenum porphyry system to occur in proximity to the current drilling.

Approximately four kilometres north of the 2007 drilling, a new skarn zone has returned up to 7.11% W03 over 0.30 metres that remains open in width and extent. Approximately two kilometres further north, additional tungsten bearing skarn was located and over-limit geochemical analyses are currently being assayed for tungsten. Results are expected within 10 days. Large areas of the 225-square kilometre Fox property are prospective for additional tungsten and molybdenum mineralization with favorable geology and geochemical results to date occurring over an area of approximately 14 kilometres by three kilometres and is open in extent.

Exploration plans for 2008 include diamond drilling designed to expand and fill-in the Discovery-Nightcrawler Zone with a view towards generating a resource for the tungsten-molybdenum skarn zones and locating a large tonnage molybdenum deposit.

David Blann, P.Eng. is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and is responsible for the preparation and approval of the technical information disclosed in the news release. Drill core was cut in half by a diamond saw or hand splitter, and one half of the sample was shipped to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver, BC. Analyses of samples was performed in part by 15 gm ICP MS for holes 1,2, with peroxide fusion digestion and analyses for over-limit tungsten. Fluorine analyses were performed by specific ion electrode. Holes 5-13 were analyzed by Becquerel Laboratories of Mississauga, Ontario, using the Neutron Activation method that provides total determinations with an average 15-20 gram pulp sample size, to limit nugget effects. Other quality control measures include insertion of regular blanks and standards, and pulp and reject repeats.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,
