StrataGold Intersects 26.4 metres averaging 3.93 g/t Gold at Tassawini West AND 20.9 metres averaging 3.49 g/t Gold at Black Ridge, Tassawini, Guyana
Vancouver March 13, 2007 - StrataGold Corporation (SGV-TSX) is pleased to report the results of the final forty-two outstanding 2006 diamond drill holes (DDHs) representing 5,611.3 metres (m) of drilling from Tassawini West, Mine Creek, Black Ridge and Tassawini East. StrataGold drilled 26,283 m of diamond core in 187 DDHs in 2006, in addition to the 11,755 m in 73 DDHs drilled in 2005, at Tassawini. Individual zones range in true width from 10 m to more than 50 m and dip between 75 and 45 degrees to the northwest.
Tassawini West and Mine Creek
Highlights from seventeen additional holes at the Tassawini West and Mine Creek include SD248 which intersected 3.93 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 26.4 m including 14.04 g/t gold over 5.85 m. This hole confirmed the presence and grade continuity of high grade shoots of mineralization in saprolite. In addition, SD246 (1.54 g/t gold over 19.55 m) intersected a previously unknown down-plunge extension of Tassawini West mineralization and SD242 and 244 intersected near-surface extensions towards the northeast. Tassawini West mineralization remains open down-plunge to the southwest and along strike to the northeast.

Black Ridge
Highlights from twenty-two additional holes at Black Ridge include SD238 which intersected 3.49 g/t gold over 20.9 m including 5.05 g/t gold over 11.07 m. This hole confirms high grade mineralization at moderate depths within fresh rock down-plunge from surface mineralization. SD223, 229, 236 and 238 in particular confirmed the multiple stacked nature of mineralized horizons at Black Ridge. The mineralization at Black Ridge remains open down-plunge to the southwest and along strike to the southwest at this time. The true width of Black Ridge mineralization averages 25 m and the saprolite-bedrock interface occurs at a vertical depth of 80 m. Free gold occurs in carbonate-altered bedrock in quartz veinlets and sulphides related to fold hinges and intrusive contacts.

Tassawini East
Results from two further infill drill holes at Tassawini East confirm continuity of mineralization both along strike to the northeast and at depth. The true width ranges from 10 m to 25 m and remains open to the northeast.

SD197, 247 and 253 at Tassawini West and Mine Creek and SD227, 234, 237, 239, 254, 255, 257, 259 and 260 at Black Ridge did not return any significant gold mineralization.
Drilling has recommenced at Tassawini and details of this and other work ongoing will be provided in a future press release.
Quality Control and Assurance
A rigorous Quality Control and Assurance program (QC/QA) is in place, using control samples and duplicates, as well as Chain of Custody (COC) protocols, under the supervision of Bill Yeomans, P.Geo., StrataGold's General Manager Exploration, South America. Tamperproof sample bags with zip lock tags are being utilized for all of the drill samples. The Tassawini samples were freighted by air in sealed containers to a new ACME sample prep facility located in Georgetown, Guyana. The samples are prepped in the ACMEs Georgtown facility and then air freighted to the ACME analytical laboratory in Santiago Chile. ACME is a recognized as an ISO 9000 registered laboratory. The control samples, blank and duplicate assay results received for the drilling program demonstrated to StrataGold that the results are considered reliable.
However, due to the rigorous nature of StrataGold's QC/QA program, additional check assays will be conducted and these results pending. The technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements set out in National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Bill Yeomans is designated as the qualified person having reviewed this information.
