MIDLAND, Texas (AP) _ Natural Gas Services Group Inc. (NGS) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $3.3 million.
The Midland, Texas-based company said it had profit of 26 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 16 cents per share.
The maker of natural gas compression equipment and industrial flare systems posted revenue of $25.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $20.5 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $10.1 million, or 79 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $95.9 million.
Natural Gas Services shares have dropped 13 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 4.5 percent in the last 12 months.
