Diamonds North Resources And Arctic Star Plan C$1,500,000
Exploration Program At Siku Project

Vancouver, May 16, 2007--Diamonds North Resources (DDN: TSX.V) and
Arctic Star Diamond Corp. (ADD: TSX.V) announce a C$1,500,000 million
exploration budget for the Siku Property located in the Franklin
diamondiferous kimberlite district of Nunavut. The Siku property
surrounds the Darby property on three sides where five kimberlites were
discovered during the 2006 field season. Based on the presence of
indicator minerals and geophysical targets, the companies believe the
Franklin diamondiferous kimberlite field extends onto the Siku
property.

The C$1,500,000 exploration program for Siku in 2007 will include:

- Airborne geophysics
- Ground geophysics over selected targets
- Drill testing 12 high priority targets

The objective of the 2007 exploration program is to increase
shareholder value by demonstrating that the Siku property is part of
the diamondiferous Franklin kimberlite field with the discovery of
diamondiferous kimberlites.

"The Siku property has the potential to add significant value for both
company's shareholders in a short period of time, the property
surrounds a known diamondiferous kimberlite field, we have targets
developed and plans to drill this year" says Mark Kolebaba, President
and CEO of Diamonds North.

Arctic Star Diamond Corp can earn into a 50% interest in certain
mineral claims totaling approximately 455,000 acres by issuing Diamonds
North Resources 1.5 million shares of Arctic Star and incurring $2.5
million on expenditures over three years. (See News Release--NR06-32,
Oct.2006). Diamonds North Resources is the operator of the Siku
project.

Bruce Kienlen (P.Geol) and Graham Gill (P. Geo) are Diamonds North's
qualified persons reviewing these projects. They are responsible for
the design and conduct of the exploration programs and the verification
and quality assurance of analytical results.
