SURFACE SAMPLING EXTENDS MINERALIZED ZONE AT CERRO PRIETO ALONG A STRIKE LENGTH OF 1,250 METERS

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA- (Marketwire � November 28, 2008) - Oroco Resource Corp. (TSX-V:OCO) is pleased to announce the results from its surface trenching and mapping program on the Cerro Prieto property in Sonora State, Mexico.

A program of sampling across the mineralized structure for a strike length of 1,250 meters at 50 meter intervals was completed and included sampling of bulldozer trenches, hand dug trenches and outcrops. Due to the rugged nature of the topography bulldozer trenches were limited to the north end of the claim group from lines 750 meters north to 1250 meters north. Hand trenching and outcrop sampling were completed from line 0 to line 700 meters north. Previously, the company announced the results from a trench across the zone at 1075N which assayed 0.40 g/t Au, 79.7 g/t Ag, 0.32% Pb and 0.47% Zn over 36.3 meters (News Release dated September 9, 2008).

On several sections collapsed historical stopes and surface excavations prevented a full cross section of samples to be taken. As well, in many instances continuous sampling was hampered by steep topography. In the following table both situations are designated as open in both directions or open in 1 direction.

Samples are chip samples of at least 0.5 meters long and the lengths of the samples are controlled by the geology encountered. The maximum sample length is 2.0 meters.

Conclusions from the results are as follows:

In April of this year the company commenced the recently completed phase 1 diamond drill program at Cerro Prieto. The mineralized zone has now been drill tested vertically at 100 meter centers along a strike length of at least 600 meters, from section 150 meters north to section 750 meters north, to a maximum depth of 400 meters, allowing the calculation of an initial estimation of resources. As reported October 31, 2008, a step out hole (CP023), located a further 300 meters along strike at section 1050 meters north, intersected the mineralized zone and returned assays of 2.80 g/t Au, 51.5 g/t Ag as well as elevated base metal values, across a true thickness of 8.7 meters.

Quality Assurance & Control
The Company has implemented a quality assurance and control (QA/QC) program to ensure sampling and analysis of all exploration work is conducted in accordance with the best possible practices. Samples are transported to the ALS Chemex laboratory in Hermosillo where it is crushed and pulverized, with pulps sent to the ALS Chemex laboratory in Vancouver, B.C. for assaying.  The QA/QC policy includes the chain of custody monitoring, insertion of blanks, standards and duplicates in the initial samples submitted.  The laboratory provides an additional internal control program.
