331 g/t, 244 g/t, and 461 g/t of silver up to six metres thick on
Nicholas-Denys
Rimouski,
March 14th 2007 - Three holes drilled by Puma Exploration (PUM-TSXV) have intersected
grades of 93 g/t Ag, 116 g/t Ag, and 66 g/t Ag over respective thicknesses of
18, 28, and 41* metres in the Hach lens on the Nicholas-Denys property in New
Brunswick. The three holes cut the core of the mineralized lens, with grades of
331 g/t, 244 g/t, and 461 g/t Ag up to six metres thick, at depths that would permit
open pit mining.
The first
hole, F07-01,
cut 18.1 metres
of a mineralized lens with 93 g/t Ag and 0.48 g/t Au. This mineralized lens
consists of two separate zones rich in precious metals, respectively containing
148 g/t Ag and 1.13 g/t Au over 6.9 metres and 164 g/t Ag and 0.50 g/t Au over 2.9 metres. The
upper zone, 6.9 metres thick,
includes 3.1
metres grading 330 g/t Ag and 1.6 g/t Au.
Hole F07-03 encountered a mineralized
zone 41.2 metres
thick, containing 66 g/t Ag and 0.40 g/t Au. This mineralized lens also
consists of two separate zones rich in precious metals, with 109 g/t Ag and
0.80 g/t Au over 12.4
metres and 130 g/t Ag and 0.44 g/t Au over 9.2 metres,
separated by a zone of disseminated sulphides.
Hole F06-01 intersected a 28.2-metres
thickness of the Hach lens containing 116 g/t Ag and 0.54 g/t Au. It again
consists of two mineralized zones that are richer in precious metals, separated
by a few metres of disseminated sulphides.
The
disseminated-sulphide zones in holes F07-03 and F06-01 were sampled after the
first positive results were received. Respectively, analyses of nine samples
totaling 9.6
metres and eight samples totaling7.15 metres are
awaited, to be used in a new calculation of the mineralized intersections. The
results to be obtained will enable an increase in the precious-metal grade,
since the disseminated sulphides had been assigned a grade of zero when
calculating the 28.2 and 41.2 metre
intersections announced in this release.

* The drill intersections
represent the lengths of the core. The true thickness of the mineralized zones
cannot at present be defined.
The Hach lens
is located 300
metres west of the Shaft lens, where drilling has
intersected persistent silver and zinc rich mineralization to a vertical depth
of 350 metres,
with grades of 108 g/t Ag and 6% Zn over a thickness of 4.4 metres. These two lenses are connected
by underground workings at the 150 metres depth level. Current exploration
work is not sufficiently advanced to determine if the two lenses are joined to
form one lens 650 metres
in length.
