TJ RIDGE PRELIMINARY WEST SIDE TRENCHING RESULTS

WIDE INTERVALS OF GOLD MINERALIZATION ENCOUNTERED

Vancouver, B.C. (November 7, 2007) Roxgold Inc. (TSX.V: ROG) (“Roxgold” or “the Company”),

has received preliminary geochemical results from trenching on the western portion of the TJ Ridge project.  Samples were analyzed at Acme Analytical Labs in Vancouver, BC utilizing a 15.0 gm ICP MS analysis.  Samples with combined As (arsenic) + Pb (lead) over 1500 ppm have been resubmitted for fire assay.  Complete assay results will be reported when available.

The mineralization is hosted by quartz veins and quartz stock works zones with in a series of semi parallel graphitic shear zones within relatively gently dipping fine grained sandstones of the Jurassic Bowser Lake Group.   The west side mineralization is believed to be associated with, but distal to the intrusive hosted mineralization noted in the Company’s press release of September 16, 2007.

Both the trenching and the drilling on the west side of the property were completed between 19800 N 21000 E and 19600 N 21000E an area covering about 200 meters of the 2 km long W1 anomaly.  At the end of the 2007 exploration season 3 trenches were excavated between 18350N 21300E and 18600N 21300E covering a 250 meter section of W1 anomaly about 1 kilometer south of the 19600N trenching.  Trenching in this southern area exposed silicified sandstones with locally developed stockwork zones and areas of heavily disseminated arsenopyrite.  The W1 anomaly remains open to the south east of 18350N and the one kilometer section of the W1 anomaly between 19600N and 18600N remains untested. 

 “The trenching results confirm that soil geochemistry is a valid exploration tool,” stated Alan Raven president of Roxgold.  “In all of the trenches on the west side, mineralization related to the soil geochemical anomaly was located in the immediate vicinity of  the anomalous soil sample with overburden generally limited to less than two meters.  With this in mind, there are numerous soil anomalies spanning hundreds of meters in length that warrant trenching and drilling during the next round of exploration.” 

Trenches were mechanically excavated utilizing a tracked excavator and. Intervals of interest were set out for sampling and labeled using metal tags.  Samples were taken with a pneumatic (hydraulic) breaker attachment attached to a crawler tractor, placed in sample bags and sealed.  Sample bags were then placed into rice bags and sealed again. Samples were transported by an independent contractor to the Acme Analytical Labs sample preparation facility in Smithers BC where they were prepped.  A pulp sample was then forwarded to Acme Analytical Labs in Vancouver where 15 gram samples were subjected to Aqua Regia digestion and ICP-MS analysis.  Over detection limit samples and combined As + Pb over 1500 ppm were sent for fire assay.

Preliminary results from the drill core samples from portions of the western area of the property have been received by the Company.  These samples were also analyzed by ICP MS and a large portion of the samples have been resubmitted for fire assay.  Based upon a limited number of fire assay results received to date, the gold grades of samples strongly anomalous in arsenic are generally higher in fire assay than ICP MS.  Final fire assay results from the drill core will be released when received.

The Company has been advised by Areoquest International that the final geophysical report from the recent airborne / magnetometer survey will be delivered to the Company the week of November 12, 2007.  The Company will release a summarized version of the geophysics at that time.
