Prefatory notes:

Reports have been circulating on the Internet that the Islamic State “ISIS” is a creation of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, and that the Caliph or religious head of ISIS, Baghdadi, is actually a Jew.

So questions arise: Is ISIS for real, or will its creators reduce it to insignificance once it has fulfilled the function for which it was created? Can a fanatic religious movement be dissolved or controlled?  Can a fanatic religious movement, initially created by outside interests, slip out of control permanently?

If the Islamic State is for real, then the danger it poses to the US would not be what the US Media are presently saying: that Islamic terrorists might enter the US and disrupt life by committing destructive outrages.

The real danger would be that Islamic fanaticism might take hold in the US.

***

Fanaticism is highly contagious.

Recall the astounding success of Adolph Hitler in his campaign to resurrect Germany in the 1930’s. A defeated Germany was beaten down after WW I with heavy burdens of Reparations, payments which Germany had to make to the victorious powers. Depressed Germany turned for relief to the degenerate lifestyles that characterized the Weimar Republic.

Amid the prevalent degeneration and economic depression, Hitler – a single man – was able to strike a chord which resounded throughout Germany, and the Nazi Movement was born. The support for Nazism was almost total in Germany because of Hitler’s vision of a new, strong Germany that would shake off the shackles imposed upon it by its former enemies, and because Hitler provoked unanimous national revulsion against the degenerate lifestyles flaunted in the country. The support for Nazism was fanatical and enveloped all social strata.

Now please think about this:

There is a black male “underclass” in the US which includes the black men in the jails - the majority of men in the jails of the US; the unemployed and unemployable black men, including outright thugs and those who live disorderly lives in general contempt of the Law; and the millions of young black boys, lost souls who have no hope of ever achieving anything to make their lives worth living.

It seems to me that this underclass of the black male population in the US could be highly susceptible to a fanatical mass movement based on the up-welling and release of intense feelings of resentment and hatred, which result from purposeless lives and the frustrations of being eternal outsiders and under-achievers.

The Islamic Jihad proclaimed by the Islamic State in distant Iraq and Syria is a religious fanaticism which could take hold in the perfect breeding-ground of the black male underclass, with absolutely terrible consequences.

Hitler’s was a political fanaticism. But the fanaticism of Islamic Jihad is much worse and deadly because it is a religious fanaticism.

Islam is a religion for men. We have all seen pictures of hundreds upon hundreds of men – and only men - in religious services in mosques, where they all bow down with their foreheads to the ground, in total submission to Allah.

Women scarcely figure in the Koran. The Koran has been analyzed as a series of harangues spoken by a military leader to his army. So far as I know, Islam does not have women “go to Heaven” - only men go to Allah’s Heaven. At any rate, unquestionably, the Koran addresses itself to men, and men as fighters.

Think of an Islamic version of Martin Luther King. He is assassinated, but another rises up in his place, and on and on. (The classic response to such a problem, on the part of government, would be to set up a false leader – an American “Baghdadi” - who would subtly defuse the movement by channeling the conflict into “talks”. But whether such a ploy would be viable, is an open question.)

Islam appears to be made to order for down-and-out black males. Islamic Jihad would give them a purpose in life; it would encourage and give religious sanction to violence against all the “Infidel Whites”, as an outlet for the accumulated and repressed resentments of the black American underclass. Violence is of course, no solution to deep problems, but violence rooted in religion is not amenable to reasoning. Witness the bloody conflict between Catholic Irish and Protestant Irish in the recent past.

The black men converting to a fanatical Islam would look forward to dying for their religion. Islamics believe that death in the militant service of Islam is highly rewarded by Allah. Islamic Jihad would not be a harmless type of “Tea Party” movement; it would be a death-dealing movement. The black men would swell with pride in their new-found conviction and willingness to put down their lives in destroying the Infidel Whites which have “oppressed” them for centuries. Each convert to fanatical Islam would joyfully die in this “struggle”, provided he could kill a dozen whites before dying.

Islamic Jihad, born in Iraq and Syria, could, in time, give rise to an enormous bloodbath in the US, as a religious and race war combined. The only way to put an end to that war would be extermination of each and every Jihadist. There could be no possible truce, for Islamic Jihad does not accept truces. Islamic Jihad stands for “Victory or Death”, the classic formula of fanaticism. Alternatively, in such a revolution the US might be forced to split up into two countries, with a black Islamic South, and a white rest of the country. A precedent for splitting up into two countries is the case of India, which was forced to split up into Islamic Pakistan-Bangladesh (originally united) and Hindu India, due to irreconcilable differences between the Indian Hindu population and its Islamic population.

One of the characteristics of fanaticism is that it attracts adherents. People naturally gravitate to groups that offer certainty and display complete conviction regarding the justice of their cause and their rights. Though the majority of blacks in the US are normally peaceable and law-abiding, they might see that one by one their friends are drawn away to the Islamic Jihad. The movement of these peaceable black males to join the ranks of the Islam would doubtless be supported by credible threats against those reluctant to participate.

At present, Islam accounts for only a tiny minority (0.8% - eight out of every 1,000) of the American population, but this might change: fanaticism is catching.

Europe is in a much worse situation, since it has accepted Islamic immigrants, who now form an important component of the European population; this Islamic population is increasing much more rapidly than the native, European population. In Europe, Islamic fanaticism and Jihad are not future possibilities, but an imminent threat.

The various European governments might attempt to stem the spread of the Islamic Jihad among their Islamic populations by arresting leaders; but the Western Liberal philosophy of religious and racial tolerance would hinder these efforts, just as it has been an obstacle to restricting Islamic immigration into Europe and Britain. Besides, ideas cannot be jailed. Once Islamic Jihadism has inoculated the Islamics presently living in Europe and Britain, there will be no ending the plague without rivers of bloodshed.

Bottom line: Europe and Britain have been stomping on the Islamic nations of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for several hundred years; for Europe and Britain, “blowback” time is approaching. The US began to interfere in the area after WW II, and has created for itself deadly Islamic enemies. Should Islamics in the US react in sympathy with their brothers in MENA, they would find a ripe field for proselytizing in the black underclass in the US.
