While traveling recently, Howard and I were asked to appear on a nationwide breakfast show. "What is your economic message to our nation?" asked our host.

Summarizing our broader outlook down to a short 5-minute television interview is fairly simple; "we are living in a time of great economic and social change, what may be one of the greatest economic changes in the history of the world", I started. "We are a global village today; what
happens in New York's markets today instantly affects the rest of the world. We are so interconnected now; that what happens in London affects the lives of people as far away as the outback of Australia and the subcontinent of Africa."

"The natural reaction is to fear change" continued Howard, "but in fact it's the opposite, with times of change comes great opportunity, and the greater the change, the greater the opportunity for profit and wealth creation."

We went on to explain some of the key catalysts to this coming change including unsustainable consumer, corporate and government debt, dangerously high structural supply deficits in several key commodity markets, rising energy costs, overvalued asset markets and a total lack of
personal savings.

"There will be a change in the 'winners' and the 'losers'", I summarized.
"Most that are winners in our current financial system will become losers in the next. In the same way, there are those that might be viewed as economic losers now, but are strategically positioned for these imminent economic changes when they come. It is these rare people that will become tomorrow's economic winners".
