Bell Resources Corporation: Phase II Drilling at Sombrero Butte Targets Suspected Underlying Porphyry System
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 30, 2007) - Bell Resources Corporation ("Bell") (TSX VENTURE:BL) announced today it has commenced the Phase II drilling program at its Sombrero Butte Property located in the Copper Creek district of Pinal County, Arizona. This second phase of drilling will continue to explore the nature of the suspected porphyry system linked to the previously drilled breccia pipes from the Phase I drill program.

With the initiation of this Phase II drill program, the proposed merger partners (Bell, Grandcru and Rogue River) now have 5 drill rigs operating on 4 copper projects in North America. These projects include, Mesa Well, Gryphon Summit, La Balsa and now Sombrero Butte.

The Phase II program includes two deep drill holes of approximately 4000 feet each. These deeper drill holes are targeted at testing the deeper underlying portions of the suspected porphyry copper system.

Geological evidence collected from the drill cores of the earlier Phase I drilling program are the basis for a Master's thesis study at the University of Arizona by Bell's project geologist, Amy Eichenlaub. Ms. Eichenlaub found that several breccia pipes revealed evidence such as mineralized porphyry dikes within the breccia, pervasive K- feldspar alteration, chalcopyrite + bornite mineralization, and stockwork style quartz + chalcopyrite + pyrite veins, all of which are strong indications of a potential underlying porphyry copper deposit at Sombrero Butte.

Extensive experience in the Copper Creek District from previous drilling by Bell's VP of Exploration immediately to the north of the Sombrero Butte project (see Redhawk Resources Inc. - RDK:TSXV) in the 1990's adds to the Company's knowledge of the breccia- porphyry copper relationship evidenced at Sombrero Butte.

Twenty-three drill holes have been completed on the project in the Phase I drill program, exploring eight of the twenty-plus known breccias. Highlights of the Phase I program are shown below:

On September 4, 2007, Bell announced it had entered into a proposed business combination with Rogue River and Grandcru Resources Corporation ("Grandcru") (TSX VENTURE:GR), whereby the three companies will amalgamate to form one company and collectively benefit from the exploration potential of Bell and Grandcru's copper exploration assets and the near term production potential of Rogue River's La Balsa project.
