June 18, 2008 - Last week, Redfern Resources was pleased to welcome BC's Minister of State for Mining on a tour of the Tulsequah Chief mine site.  This was the Minister's first visit to site where he toured the length and breadth of the property by helicopter and by truck and saw firsthand how much work has been accomplished. 

Minister Krueger was accompanied by Loren Kelly, Regional Director with the Ministry of Energy, Mines & Petroleum Resources.  In his prior capacity with the Ministry of Forests and Range, Mr. Kelly was involved in the issuance of the Licenses to Cut for the roads he toured at site.

"The Tulsequah Chief mine was a tremendously interesting site to visit," stated Minister Krueger.  "I am impressed at how quickly the road is being constructed and excited about the potential for tremendous economic development in British Columbia, which is already being established through the jobs the Tulsequah Chief mine has created. I think that all British Columbians will be pleased, as am I, that the first stage of the mining plan is elimination of an historic source of pollution."
