About David C. Beling, P.E
David C. Beling, P.E., has a unique combination of project and corporate expertise, with over 47 years of experience in the global precious metal, base metal and energy mineral sectors. Mr. Beling has significantly reviewed or was directly involved with 84 underground mines,127 open pit mines and 163 mineral processing plants as a consultant or while employed with Phelps Dodge, Union Oil, Fluor, United Technologies, Westinghouse, and several Canadian and US junior mining companies.
Since 1981 he served as a senior executive and member of the Board of Directors of eight public mining companies. In addition to developing and managing operations, he initiated or strongly contributed to the closing of debt and equity financings, commodity and asset sales, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Mr. Beling recently retired as the Executive VP & COO of Geovic Mining Corp where he was responsible for developing a world-class cobalt-nickel-manganese project in Cameroon, Africa. Mr. Beling was also pivotal in Geovic's 2006 public listing and sale of $110 million of equity.
The Company also wishes to announce that it has granted 400,000 incentive stock options to the newly appointed Technical Advisor and certain new consultants of the Company. The options are exercisable on or before March 30, 2016 at an exercise price of $0.45 per share. The grant of options is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
