Title: Eastcoal Inc. - Wash Plant Construction Complete

Vancouver, Canada - EastCoal Inc. (TSX-V: ECX) (the "Company" or "EastCoal") is pleased to announce that the construction of the new wash plant at the Menzhinsky Coal Mine in Ukraine ("Menzhinsky Mine") is complete and that the commissioning of the plant has commenced. The commissioning is expected to last a few days, following which, the Company will ramp up production to full capacity over the next few weeks.

The plant is designed to process 400 tonnes of waste material an hour and is anticipated to produce 18,000 tonnes of saleable coal per month.

The Chairman of EastCoal, Mr. John Byrne, commented:

"This is a major milestone for the Company to achieve and I am very happy with the work and commitment of those involved in making it a reality. As we process material over the coming weeks through the plant, we will be better able to assess the potential of the tip and its ability to generate cash for the Company."
