The Silver Recycling Company Hires New Chief Financial Officer

VANCOUVER, B.C. - July 18, 2008 - The Silver Recycling Company Inc. (TSX VENTURE: TSR) ("Silver Recycling") is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Kevin Leong and his appointment as Chief Financial Officer for Silver Recycling.

As part of his compensation, Silver Recycling has granted Mr. Leong incentive stock options to purchase 150,000 shares of the Corporation at an exercise price of $0.60 per share expiring on June 17, 2013. All of these options shall vest in equal installments on a quarterly basis over a three year period from the date of issuance.

Mr. Leong is a chartered accountant with extensive experience with start-up company finance and regulatory compliance with both TSX-V and SEC filings. Most recently, Mr. Leong has served as the CFO of Urodynamix Technologies Ltd. where he managed the financial controls and reporting required during its growth from a market cap of $3 million to $16 million. Prior to that, he served as CFO for VSM Medtech during its growth from a market cap of $10 million to $150 million.
