The Virgen del Cisne Project consists of 18 contiguous mining concessions and one other totaling 55,887.3 hectares in Azuay Province, located 25 km southeast of Cuenca City in southern Ecuador. The highest elevation occurs in the Cordillera Real at 3200 m and the lowest elevation is the Sangurima River at 1891 m.

| History of the Virgen Del Cisne Project |
|
Regional studies conducted by The British Survey and the Ecuadorian Government mention the presence of low and high sulphidization deposits in the region. The small scale Peggy epithermal gold-silver mine and numerous gold placers (Collay, Allon, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Sangurima-Blanco, Shimcata-Betas) occur within or adjacent to the project area.
