Location of the Mount Benedict Project
The Mount Benedict Property is located in the Benedict Mountains area, approximately 180 kilometres northeast of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and 30 to 70 kilometers south of Makkovik.
 
History of the Mount Benedict Project
Parts of the area were covered by regional uranium exploration carried out by Brinex in the period from the 1950s to the 1970s. Based on this historical work, no uranium showings were known in the area.
 
Geology of the Mount Benedict Project
The Mount Benedict Property covers uranium in lake sediment anomalies located by the Newfoundland and Labrador government with anomalous values ranging from 10 ppm to 87 ppm against a background of less than five ppm hosted mainly in felsic plutonic rocks of the Benedict Mountains Suite, with some felsic supracrustal units noted.
