Location of the Macusani South Project
The project covers 4,700 hectares just south of the Macusani East JV project. The general area is situated within the Province of Carabay, Department of Puno, SE Peru, and lies within the relatively flat Altiplano of the Eastern Cordillera. The project area is located close to the town of Macusani in an area with better gravel roads for equipment and crew transportation.

History of the Macusani South Project
Initial prospecting work was initiated by Solex in September, 2006.

Geology of the Macusani South Project
the project area area is filled by ignimbrites and other pyroclastic rocks of the Pliocene Quenamari Formation. Uranium mineralization observed through surface work appears to consist of secondary yellow to greenish yellow uranium minerals, such as coffinite, autunite, tyuyamunite and carnotite.
