The Silangan (Formerly Boyongan) copper-gold porphyry deposit is located in the Surigao gold district at the north-eastern tip of Mindanao Island in the Philippines, approximately 750km southeast of Manila.
 
History of the Silangan (Boyongan) Project
Diamond drilling at Boyongan commenced in May 2000. In August of the same year the discovery hole (TSD-6) intersected oxide copper mineralization, comprising malachite and azurite veinlets and fracture coatings within potassic altered diorite porphyry. The weighted average value of the intercept from 93m downhole is 329m at a grade of 0.90% Cu and 2.07g/t Au.
