Location of the Lefroy Project
Lefroy project is located 30 kilometres from the Tasmania gold mine and cover approximately 364 square kilometres of the north-east Tasmanian gold province.
 
History of the Lefroy Project
The previous owner of the tenements estimated an inferred resource of 49,000 ounces of contained gold, close to the surface, in a low grade halo around the Pinafore Reef.
 
Geology of the Lefroy Project
The Lefroy goldfield consists of a 5 kilometre long mineralised corridor, within which there are 30 known historically mined reefs. These quartz reefs are hosted in Ordovician aged sediments, similar in nature to the central Victorian gold deposits.
