Location of the Pinafore Project
Located in Western Arizona near Bagdad in the Eureka Mining District of Yavapai County.

History of the Pinafore Project
During the 1930’s, a shaft was sunk in the Pinafore Mine to the 245 foot level, with 130 feet of lateral workings from the bottom of the shaft. Reports indicate that 693+ tons of copper/ zinc ore was mined during World War II.

Geology of the Pinafore Project
The Pinafore Mine property is a Volcanogenic Massive Sulfide (VMS) deposit situated on the western limb of a fold in the Bagdad open pit Copper Mine Complex owned by Freeport (See photo and map in Appendix 4). In 2007, the Bagdad Mine produced 202 million pounds of Copper, ranking it the third of Arizona’s eleven most important producers (behind Asarco’s Ray Mine, previously described).
