Location of the Grande Cote Project
A world class project, it is on a coastal, dunal system starting about 100 km north of Dakar and extending northwards for more than 80 km. The mineralised dune system averages about two kilometres in width with some areas extending to up to 4.5 km wide, and contains very large unvegetated sand masses.

Geology of the Grande Cote Project
The heavy minerals are predominantly concentrated as lag deposits in the mobile dune sands, which are light yellow in colour and overlay ancient white beach sands of Quaternary age. The water table generally occurs near the top of the white beach sand horizon.
