Drilling Underway At Sheridan Copper-Moly Porphyry Target
======================================================================
Vancouver, BC, February 6, 2008 -- Copper Ridge Explorations Inc.
("Copper Ridge" or the "Company")
announces that a 1,200 m drill program has commenced on its 100% owned,
6,210 hectare Sheridan claim
group, part of its Copper Ace copper-molybdenum project adjacent to
Taseko Mines Limited's Gibraltar Mine, south central British Columbia.
The property is road accessible, approximately 40 km north of Williams
Lake, B.C.
The target at Sheridan is a copper, molybdenum and zinc soil anomaly
with a strong, coincident Induced Polarization ("IP") chargeability
anomaly and a weak magnetic anomaly. The IP anomaly is approximately
1,500 m wide and in excess of 2,500 m long. The soil geochemical
anomaly, greater than 1,500 m in diameter, is defined by moderately
anomalous copper and molybdenum values with fringing anomalous zinc
values. The anomaly lies along trend with the Gibraltar Mine, 10 km to
the northeast.
The Company believes the Sheridan geophysical and geochemical survey
results present a compelling target for a new porphyry
copper-molybdenum discovery. Maps showing the geophysical and
geochemical
characteristics of the new Sheridan anomaly can be seen on the Copper
Ridge web site at www.copperridge.com. Mr. J. Greg Dawson, P.Geo., Vice
President of Exploration for Copper Ridge, is the Qualified Person for
the Copper Ace project.
In 2008, Copper Ridge shareholders will enjoy positive exposure to up
to nine drill programs funded by joint venture partners or the Company.
Drill programs are planned or being considered for the following
projects - Yukon Olympic (IOCG -- Richmond Capital), Ironman (IOCG --
Vale Inco), Kalzas (tungsten -- Prospector Consolidated), Joss'alun
(copper -- Lomiko Resources), Scheelite Dome (gold -- Riverside
Resources) and Willoughby (gold-silver -- Bonterra Resources). In
addition to Sheridan, Copper Ridge has two other projects that are
being evaluated for drill program funding by the Company -- Lucky Joe
(copper-gold) and Babine (copper-gold).
Copper Ridge's exploration philosophy focuses on maximizing the
potential for success in a high-risk business. With grass roots mineral
exploration, where the entry cost is low but the potential reward can
be very high, success will be contingent on exploration skill and on
carefully managed risk. Our management team brings tenacity, technical
skill and experience, all crucial ingredients for discovery. By
exploring a broad array of projects, focusing on the right commodities,
in areas of high mineral potential, in mining-friendly jurisdictions
and by sharing the risks on some projects with joint venturers, Copper
Ridge is exposing its shareholders to a greater chance for discovery.
