As a geologist, Earth's history is frequently on the front burner for me and others in the industry (but for other reasons). The glaciers of North America have been receding (as a general proposition...there are some exceptions) for several hundred years - long before the automobile and coal-fired power plants.

Mr. Kunstler - A good piece. The problem is...there are no statesmen to consider for President of this USA...only self-aggrandizing politicians. What a terrible outcome to look forward to. Follow the money - the new normal for the USA!
