What Americans Used To Know  (22)
But you, the strongest defender of DiLorenzo, Kunstler, and Ron Paul are not a troll from the Lew Rockwell crew?

I agree wholeheartedly with Jim C's critique of Thomas DiLorenzo and will continue to do so.

Frankly insane for Thomas and you to put the onus on Lincoln for slavery who was just elected a few months earlier, and who had campaigned against the Kansas act extending slavery to new states. History just does't support your views.

A Republic, Not a Democracy  (101)
I agree with Vox. Mr. C can be very critical, but never insulting to others.

Meaningless Words in Politics  (104)
Mr. C:

Mr. S. is correct in saying Lincoln was pro-slavery, at least initially. If Lincoln could have saved the Union by keeping slavery he would have. And Mr. Paul's primary objection to Lincoln was the lives lost on both sides which could have been avoided by diplomacy.

Mr. Hart:

Well, I tried. I'm not the first person here you have decided to personally attack rather then respond to issues. It's a lost cause and I won't waste further words with you.

Mr Hart:

Although Mr. C can be harsh with his critiques of Mr. Kunstler and Mr. Paul, it does not mean they are invalid. I've noticed you never respond to his arguments but only result to insult. And you even advocate that he be expelled from this site.

Mr. Kunstler attacks public figures freely and opens himself to like treatment. I urge you to focus on the arguments of the individuals and ...

The AFTA Act of 2012  (102)
Mr. C:

Although you exeraggerate often I believe you are correct in your critique of Mr. kunstler's current article. He does contradict himself about technology and his cell phone rant is quite foolish. Last month my car broke down on the freeway about 11pm and I really don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been able to call AAA with my cell phone. A few decades earlier I would have had to w...

Chris Hedges: The Careerists and the Banality of Evil - The Sickness Unto Death  (14)
Jim C's arguments are a bit strained here, but at least he is not calling people names like Mr. Hart has been doing to him.

Jim C is correct is his criticisms. I also have never read Tom D. condemning slavery or Southern generals for their support of it. And for Tom D. to constantly say Lincoln started the Civil War is insane, when we all know the South fired the first shot.

There is something wrong with this article and Jim C. offers a reasonable explanation.
