Geology of the Kings Valley Project
Mineralization occurs in two pods along the western margin of the McDermitt Caldera in north central Nevada, approximately 60 miles NNW of Winnemucca. Uranium mineralization is localized in structural breccias, along lithologic contacts and as disseminated grains in late stage felsic dikes. Silicification and sooty pyrite are commonly associated with the uranium.
