U.S. solar developers are luring cash at record rates from investors ranging from Warren Buffett to Google Inc. (GOOG) and KKR & Co. by offering returns on projects four times those available for Treasury securities.

Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A) together with the biggest Internet search company, the private equity company and insurers MetLife Inc. (MET) and John Hancock Life Insurance Co. poured more than $500 million into renewable energy in the last year. That's the most ever for companies outside the club of banks and specialist lenders that traditionally back solar energy, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance data.

Bravo! Too bad only a small minority of people understand the rank fascist relationship of business to the gov't and the Obamanation in particular. Buffet's filthy tax lie propaganda for the DemPervs has garnered him many billions, and not just transporting oil and gas. Remember he special BoA one day trade?

I was gonna stop with the previous post, but sometimes it becomes obvious that truth must be outed.

There is an additional aspect to the old money investments versus investments in disruptive technology that sets liberals butts on fire.
New investments threaten the social blackmail that is already streaming revenue to somebody's sacred cow.

Ever notice the demands made by locals with the push of centralized enviro-groups to get new businesses, especially those in extractive and manufacturing enterprises, to contribute to local social projects? They call it social responsibility.

Oddly enough, prior to the new business there was fewer jobs. Then along comes a business offering more jobs and this somehow gets translated to a social responsibility to support a bunch of questionable social programs that will be initiated once the business agrees to pay the blackmail.

Jobs and environmental compliance isn't ever enough.

Every business is expected to pay the social blackmail skim. Every business!!!
Just ask any business manager if they have been approached for annual contributions.
New businesses affect old businesses and thereby threatens the skim.
Everything you buy contributes to paying for this blackmail.
And the outsider agitators use their success at extracting this social blackmail for pursuing further contributions to their organization.
Ever wonder why so many of these groups have armies of lawyers in their inner circle?

Don't believe anything in this post until you check it out for yourself.

Excellent.
It is always about the money.
Only my opinion but based upon 45-50 years of observation.
Democrats tend to protect old money. Old money defined as monies already invested and returning a profitable revenue stream.
Republicans favor new money generation. New money can only be created through a process now termed disruptive technology.
Disruptive equates to a real threat to old money revenue streams.
Think automobile versus Conestoga wagons and horse collars.
Internet versus radio and newspapers.
It is always about the money.

A long time ago there was a term called "Political Economy".
The term fell out of favor, but the supporting reality will always live on.
The people are basically livestock.
It has always been that way. Always throughout recorded history.
Even the enviros are milking the herd. All the costs are borne by the herd while the enviros live well off the herd.
And it ain't a'gonna change.

Curious? Not really once you fully grasp that it is always about the money.
