The new assays are comparable to those from
previous samples taken from the historical district property.
Klondike
Gold Corp. (KG:TSX.V) announced in a news release that it discovered a zone of high-grade gold
parallel to the mineralization of the Nugget zone at its Klondike project in
the Yukon.
The company discovered this through the drilling of nine holes in the
Nugget zone along the Nugget Fault, results of which it just announced.
The new zone, found through drill hole EC19-267, is situated 25m below the
Nugget zone mineralization and remains open.
Assays from that hole demonstrated mineralization grading 1,009 grams per
ton (1,009 g/t) gold with 1,035 g/t silver over 1m, including 2.5m of 404 g/t
gold and 412 g/t silver. "Nugget zone high-grade gold-silver
mineralization in EC19-267 is comparable to other occurrences sampled in 2014
to 2018 within the Klondike District property," the release noted.
Other drill result highlights included those from hole EC19-256, which
encountered Nugget zone mineralization grading 9 g/t gold over 10m, including
21.5m of 4.3 g/t gold beginning at surface.
Drill hole EC19-266 intersected Nugget zone mineralization, too, but at a
grade of 8 g/t gold over 49.6m beginning at surface.
The nine reported holes are part of the total of 12 drilled over 913
meters in the Nugget zone. Results of the remaining three holes are pending.
