>Will the US succeed in breaking Russia to maintain dollar hegemony?...  - Clive Maund -
It is easy to forget Occam's Razor in regards to Ukraine.

For the same reasons that the North attacked the South during the US Civil War, so does Ukraine attack its own people in the East.
It is all about money in the form of resources needed to service debt.
If a chunk of any nation goes away, so goes away a chunk of a very important and needed tax base.
International debt can't be serviced.
Ukraine WILL default unless and until it can bomb them damn easterners into submission.
The US government knows this. EU knows this and Russia knows this.

Flash back to the Cold War. All those countries that became Soviet States were absorbed for the purpose of a buffer zone for Mother Russia.
No difference for the USA either as it maintained a military presence in Europe after WWII and still to this day.

Due to counter-party exposures, if Ukraine defaults then there is a high probability that the entire house of cards will tumble.
As long as the debt can be serviced, debts can be carried on the book as performing.

As a side thought, most retail businesses make a substantial amount of their income during the Thanksgiving-Christmas season.
If sales don't meet or exceed the level required to keep the business viable until the next consumer buying season, what'cha gonna do?

Just as the author pointed out, much of the hubris is intended to keep US and EU citizens from seeing that not only does the Emperor wear no clothes, but neither does the Empire. Russia and China appear about ready to drain the pool and expose the collective bare-asses of the USA and the EU.

In this article we are going to look at what is arguably an even bigger reason, that was largely omitted in the earlier article, which is that... Read More
