Silver market rigging foe Ted Butler today reflects on the anniversary of his attempt to persuade the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's new chairman to examine JPMorganChase's domination of the silver futures market. The commission has declined to do so. Butler thinks it's because the investment bank is dominating the commission as well. But maybe JPMorganChase is trading the monetary metals as the U.S. government's own broker, in which case any market rigging would be perfectly legal under the Gold Reserve Act of 1934.

Butler's commentary is headlined "An Interesting Anniversary" and it's posted at GoldSeek's companion site, SilverSeek, here --
