>Syria and the Grand Plan  - Clive Maund -
Never forget for a minute that John McCain (US Senator "kill them all, let God sort them out") personally went to Syria, met with the insurgents and, without a doubt in my military mind, coached the insurgents on what would draw the US into the fray.

Democrats/Republicans same coin, just opposite sides that depend on each other for their continued existence.

Not one of them realizes that turn-about is fair play. Should that unspeakable happen, game over for the US and by extension, the entire world as we know it.

The Syrian civil war has no direct effect on the US. The proposed nat-gas pipeline from Iran to Europe through Syria will shift the balance of oil-funded financial power away from the Saudi Arabia but the US is not dependent upon the Saudis for anything but controlling OPEC. And yes, the USD hegemony will end (and hopefully our defense treaty with the House of Saud). Most fail to realize that being the reserve currency doesn't automatically make the users wealthier. Only the insiders and the few that figure the game out get that benefit. For the general public, we got screwed by USD inflation just like the rest of the world.

Keep in mind that Russia, China and Japan are against US involvement in Syria. They hold a bunch of US Treasuries that could go on the market in far greater quantities than they have been. Dumping Treasuries would seal USA's financial doom. When US vendors won't take what would become worthless USDs, the only thing the government has left is the muzzle of a gun held against its citizens head. At that moment, the government loses all its legitimacy.

The only logical and rational thing for the US to do is back the hell off.

This is NOT a righteous war and we need to play the spectator/commentator on this one.

Beginning of the headline :To the casual observer, which includes most of humanity, what is going on the Mid-East and North Africa, specifically Egypt and Syria at this time, seems random and chaotic, but in reality this is not the case at all - events are unfolding according to a Grand Plan. Before anyone writes in to advise me that the above map is old, and does not show South Sudan, I am aware of this but could not quickly find a better map... Read More
