>The US Shale Oil Miracle Disappears  - Chris Martenson -
There is a real, hidden and long term danger in fracking and most countries in the world are ignoring the dangers in the feeding frenzy (sic) to extract this much needed source of energy and make money. Whilst arid areas pose little danger to the environment we are seeing fracking on fertile farming land where the effects on the subterranean water is being totally ignored because the industry has its (paid) political supporters who turn the blind eye. Not too different to the gun lobby where politicians ignore one massacre after another citing the second amendment whilst the gun businesses pay their political supporters to turn the other way.

The result of long term fracking may be the loss of food producing land which feeds populations to eternity compared to perhaps 30 or 40 years maximum gas supply after which the miners are gone anyway leaving their usual environmental disasters. Is this not why we elect governments or is it to protect the rights of big business to make money at any cost?
