>Gold and the next Great War - Clif Droke -
It's difficult to know where to begin with comments on this article. A more comprehensive explanation of Mr. Droke's criteria for what's considered a war might help with my confusion. Korea wasn't a war? Some historians claim over ten million people perished in that one so I imagine numbers aren't a factor. He contradicts himself with starting dates: Vietnam '66 or is it '61? Bunnypants Bush junior gave us Iraq ll where millions died, the war lasted years, yes, years longer and the destruction of a nation was more accomplished than the first time around and that was a mere twelve or so years after the first one. Not to mention the myriad 'small' wars where millions died from the opening of the twentieth century to today; but for some unknown reason they haven't been factored in either. As far as the NY Times or most any other American mainstream publication is concerned, Iran is undoubtedly our 'official' enemy now that Christians are dying for their faith all over the globe, but I'm certain the Iranians are behind it because the NY Times told us so and because the belligerence on both sides is 'getting frightening' according to them. I haven't really noticed the Iranians threatening to nuke us, bomb us, embargo us, kill our scientists or blow up our installations; but I'm most likely wrong because the NY Times and other official orifices of the reigning madness and lust for war have told us that the Iranians have done something that merits their destruction and of course, like all the best inquisitions through the centuries, we'll be killing each and every Iranian for their own good. Perhaps Mr. Droke can fill me in when he not philosophizing on the advantages of this or that asset once the bombs begin falling. I always harbored the belief and hope that, excepting arms merchants, most businessmen would consider war itself their worst enemy and now we're preparing to attack the planet's third largest oil producer and first or second nation in gas reserves. Yeah, let's listen to the neocon cons who obviously haven't been to business school so we can make a bad economic situation horrifying and totally untenable.

Beginning of the headline :Let’s turn our attention to a cycle which we’ve rarely discussed over the years. The Kress 24-year cycle is one of the components of the 120-year cycle series which is scheduled to bottom in 2014. The 24-year cycle tends to get eclipsed by the longer-term cycles like the 40-year and 60-year cycles (both of which have a major impact on equity prices and the economy)... Read More
