I think your facts are a little screwy. The depression grew out of the treasury's response to the crash, which was a direct result of too little supervision of mercantile banking in the US. The crash led investors and bankers to withdraw credit - in other words, the entire financial system became "il-liquid" President Wilson's response to that fact was to refuse to create more capital, which spawned the depression. Roosevelt made a lot of changes to banking, to credit issuance, to saving and loans, inspiring confidence that the economy and peoples lives would recover , and that ntil that happened, there would be a rudimentary safety net under you to ensure that you would not starve.

So, Roosevelt did not cause the depression, he solved it. And you are a doctrinaire neo-liberal idiot campaigning as a great thinker. Go away.
