>Speak up and be heard - Theodore Butler - Butler Research
Be heard? - Pardon my (our) cynicism. But I am not so naive. The law is bad and regulation is worse in regard to financial services - if the former were intact, a lot of people on Wall St would be in jail (2008); if the second were intact, GATA, among others would not have have been given a mere 5 minutes to say or do no more than present a whistle blower and reams of evidence at a public hearing - a signal in itself.

Making articulate presentations and providing evidence does not and cannot work in a corrupt system. The uninitiated will say smugly, "So stay away from the casino - it's rigged."

The problem we face is that every sector of society can now be said to be corrupt....all the way to the Executive Branch. There is simply no place to take a grievance, receive a fair hearing and get a judgment which can be implemented. Our system is broken, and everyone in the world knows it, but us. We are in denial.

It will take more than blogging and presentations at Hearings - or even going to Court - to change things. I now believe that only the pain and chaos that await us are the only hope....ironic and counter-intuitive I realize. But that is where we are...to think otherwise...is to not think critically - as an adult.
